Magnesium Chloride
Magnesium: miracle in minutes![]()
Magnesium (Mg) is a vital element missing from most diets, and one of seven macro minerals considered essential for human health; the others are sodium, potassium, calcium, phosphorus, chlorine and sulfur. Derived from the pristine north sea of Japan, Higher Octave's” Magnesium Chloride has been purified removing all other minerals to be taken internally as well as topically. Minerals are the building blocks of life, and are absorbed by the body from food, as well as through the skin. Higher Octave’s Magnesium Oil is easily absorbed internally, and transdermal applications ensure greater quantities assimilated directly into our bodies.
Very few people are aware of the enormous role magnesium plays in our bodies. After oxygen, water, and basic food, magnesium may be the most important element needed by our bodies. activating over 300 different biochemical reactions in your body all necessary for your body to function properly; Among these functions are digestion, energy production, muscle function, bone formation, creation of new cells, activation of B vitamins, relaxation of muscles, the functioning of your heart, kidneys, adrenals, brain, as well as the nervous system.
Magnesium is more important than calcium, potassium or sodium and regulates all three of them.
What are the symptoms of a magnesium deficiency? Millions suffer daily from:
| Insomnia | Sleep disorders | Restless Syndrome |
| Fatigue | Irratability, Body Tension | Asthma |
| Headaches | Heart Disorders | |
| Blood Clots | High Blood Pressure | |
| PMS Muscle Tension | Backache | |
| Constipation | Kidney Stones | |
| Accelerated Aging | Depression | |
| Osteoporosis | Irregular Heartbeat | |
| Anxiety | Muscle Cramps/Spasms | |
And the list goes on....
A French doctor, Dr. A. Neveu, found magnesium chloride effective with asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia and emphysema; tonsillitis, hoarseness, influenza, abscesses, In more recent years this list has been joined by more diseases which have been successfully treated: shock, tetanus, herpes zoster, and many allergic diseases, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and has had beneficial effects in cancer therapy. In all of these cases magnesium chloride had been used.
In his book “Holy Water, Sacred Oil”, Norman Shealy documents almost ninety health issues that are directly related to magnesium deficiency. Additionally, Dr. Shealy draws a strong correlation between magnesium levels and DHEA levels, determining that when the body is presented with adequate levels of magnesium at the cellular level, the body will begin to naturally produce DHEA.

Magnesium is essential for more than 300 biochemical reactions in the body, helping to keep heart rhythm steady and support a healthy immune system, as well as taking part in assisting to regulate blood sugar levels and promote normal blood pressure. It also expands the blood vessels and is a natural diuretic and laxative. Its calming effect on the nervous system, slows down the brain activity.
As a significant contributor to bone formation and mineralization, Magnesium strengthens teeth and bones, preventing osteoporosis, is a vital component to Hylauronic acid. Importantly…as a necessary element in ATP production, good levels of Magnesium are vital for producing and maintaining our energy levels.
It has been found to:
- Reduce inflammation by lowering the levels of histamine.
- Reduces lactic acid build up
- Increase testosterone levels and sperm production
- Increase metabolic rate
- Strengthen immunity
- Reduce cholesterol levels in the blood
- Reduce high blood pressure
- Significantly reduce heart disease and mortality
- Improve the functioning of the Nervous System
- Reduce the effects of stress
- Alkalinizes
It has been proven to be an:
- Anti-inflammatory
- Bactericidal / fungicidal
- Improve micro-circulation
- Analgesic
- Energizer helps the body generate ATP, for energy
- Preventative for over-calcified hardening of the arteries and brittle bones
Heart Disease, Stroke, High Blood Pressure, Depression and Diabetes are the main conditions associated with Magnesium deficiency.
Since 99 percent of magnesium resides inside living cells, blood serum levels are not a good indicator of magnesium deficiency. 90-95% of the population is deficient, including many of those who already supplement it. Calcium needs magnesium in order to assimilate into the body. However, when too much calcium is consumed, as in dairy, (the ratio in cow’s milk is 10:1), magnesium will be pulled out of the body parts in order to assimilate calcium, creating magnesium deficiency, the main cause of Osteoporosis.
Thus the dominance of calcium over magnesium produces symptoms of muscle spasm. Migraines, eyelid twitch, heart flutters, back aches, premenstrual tension, leg cramps and constipation are all linked to calcium overload. Calcium in single doses that exceed 500 milligrams is not absorbed. Excess calcium (in the wrong form/size for proper assimilation) in the body results in calcium deposits on joints (often called arthritis).
Magnesium is a natural calcium blocker. [American Journal Medicine 96: 63-76, 1994 Excessive calcium may also result in Kidney stones, and heart valve calcifications.
More than 300,000 sudden-death heart attacks are reported annually in the US, which are believed to be related to excessive calcium and a shortage of magnesium. Researchers warn that adults who consume excessive amounts of caffeine or alcohol, diabetics and people with low thyroid, are prone to experience irregular heart beats and should consume more magnesium.
Magnesium and Athletics

Athletic Recovery
Many doctors believe that magnesium is the single most important mineral to sports nutrition. Not only does it help optimize an athlete's performance, but it speeds up recovery from fatigue and injuries.
Optimal muscle contraction and relaxation is the foundation of an athlete's performance. Proper magnesium levels are required for muscles to relax fully following a contraction, thus preventing cramps after long distance running and biking due to lactic acid build up.
Research suggests that even a small shortfall in magnesium can lead to greatly reduced performance and stamina. Inefficient oxygen consumption and reduced metabolic efficiency will often result when an athlete is deprived of proper magnesium levels.
Magnesium Loss - A Common Problem
An important consideration for athletes is the rate of magnesium loss that occurs during heavy physical activity. Magnesium as well as zinc, chromium and selenium are excreted in the sweat or as part of the process of metabolic acceleration. Also, the rate of magnesium loss is increased in conditions of high humidity and high temperature.
Dr. Sarah Mayhill states that "Heavy exercise also makes you lose magnesium in the urine and explains why long distance runners may suddenly drop dead with heart arrhythmias."
Dr. Mark Sircus adds "There is virtually no one that cannot benefit greatly from increasing daily magnesium intake. In terms of health and longevity magnesium is essential. For the professional athlete it means the difference between winning and losing.
Usage:
It is difficult to receive adequate amounts of Magnesium as a supplement, as it not easily assimilated and in large quantities, has a laxative effect. Each tsp of this Magnesium oil is equivalent to 200 mg. Our bodies require approximately 2.2 mg per lb of body weight when living a stress free life. For those bodies under stress, whether from working out, demanding jobs or lack of healthy diets the amount needed is almost double. A stress free two hundred pound man would require 440 mg. while the same leading a stressful life would require double or 880 mg.
When the body has low levels of Magnesium, it is necessary to initially double the above quantities for 1- 1½ months to allow the cells to saturate. After this time, the quantity can be reduced to the maintenance level.
Each tsp Magnesium Chloride oil is equivalent to 300 mg of elemental Magnesium. Desired dosages are easily reached by combining trans-dermal application of either straight or diluted Magnesium directly to the skin, along with adding 1-2 tsp to each gallon of drinking water. Until cell saturation, dosages are double the lower maintenance amount.
Magnesium Chloride oil, with all its components, feeds every system in our body, supporting our electrical charge which animates our entire being.
